Meet Dr. Carmical

I strongly believe that good dental treatment can be life changing. I love challenges. One of my favorite things about dentistry is showing a patient who fears dental treatment, that dentistry can be quite comfortable. My techniques aim to relieve and even get people out of pain entirely. I truly value the trust placed upon me as a dentist and believe that an important part of trust is treating a person as a human being, which involves getting to know each patient.
This allows me to do what I love, make a difference in the person’s life! It could be getting him out of pain so he can better live life or replacing teeth so that he can chew with ease again or smile with confidence. I especially value cosmetic procedures that allow people to readily smile after hiding those same teeth for a lifetime.
Education
Science was one of my favorite subjects since I was very young, and because I enjoy working with people, healthcare seemed like a natural fit for me. It was not until I was in college and my family dentist, Dr. Bob Matlock, took me into his office to observe him at work that I knew dentistry was the career for me. After finishing my undergraduate degree at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, I did my postgraduate work at University of Missouri’s Kansas City School of Dentistry.
Continuing education and organizations
I strongly believe in the very real and positive implications of continuing education to insure that I can provide the newest and best dental techniques the industry has to offer. It allows me to be the best dentist I can be, the kind that always offers his patients the best treatment options. This comes from a personal conviction to always treat my patients how I in turn want to be treated when it's my turn to be a patient. To stay current I have joined numerous organizations and logged hundreds of hours in courses since completing my doctorate including continuing education hours with the Las Vegas Institute.

In the office
I hope that the first thing our patients see when they come into our office is how good a time we are having at work. We truly enjoy ourselves and the services we provide, and although our priority is to maintain a professional atmosphere, there is almost always laughter about. This is possible because my team and I share the passion to provide exceptional dental care through an exceptional experience. We want to make patients feel like part of the family. We love getting to know our patients and developing a friendship with each one.
Outside the office
I am a Christian and believe that part of that is doing my best in everything that I do. I am very involved in my family life and community. My wife and I are very proud of our boys and their accomplishments. We try to give back to the community of Rogers, Arkansas by being involved in many organizations including the Southside Church of Christ, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Special Olympics, and Salvation Army. We have found this community to be an awesome place to live for the last 20 years and counting.
